College of Education, Health, & Human Services

There is a lot to be proud of at the College of Education, Health, & Human Services (CEHHS). Our top priority is preparing students for the workplace. Teaching, learning, and health and human services transformed rapidly in the last years, but our faculty and staff continue to prepare students for the future. Your support has never been more critical to help our students reach their goals.

With support from alumni and donors, we have the momentum, determination, and team at CEHHS to get students to the finish line. Last spring, we celebrated Danté Russell, who graduated 25 years after he started college for the first time elsewhere. At UM-Dearborn, Danté got help that he never had before. He thrived, graduated, and did it all while working full-time.

The program that Danté graduated from is a redesigned curriculum that focuses heavily on field experiences, teaching English language learners, and mastering educational technology. It’s one of the ways that CEHHS has embraced the Practice-Based Learning (PBL) model of teaching at UM-Dearborn. Our students are problem-solvers and learn best while in the field and with the people they will serve – from our youngest children to our beloved elders.

With your help, we can open doors for more students. A UM-Dearborn degree will change their life and they will change the lives of others.

Please make a gift to support CEHHS students today. I also would welcome you back to campus, introduce you to our students, and show you this work up close and personal.

Thank you, Go Blue – Go Dearborn!
