Dean, School of Education and Human Services
University of Michigan-Flint

On behalf of the University of Michigan-Flint, I extend my sincerest gratitude for your continued support of the School of Education and Human Services (SEHS). I began my appointment as dean on September 1, and it is clear to me that investing in SEHS students is an excellent choice. With their ambitions inside and outside of the classroom and their passion for our field, our students have endless possibilities and vibrant futures ahead of them. I hope you will make a gift today to support their efforts.

Now more than ever, we are focused on helping our students complete their degrees. Financial hardships brought about by the pandemic have been especially difficult for students. Giving to the School of Education and Human Services Gift Fund will enable us to award more significant scholarships to more students, moving each of them closer to degree completion. Scholarship recipients gain much more than financial assistance; they gain confidence knowing donors like you believe in their potential.

The past year and a half have also underscored the importance of connection. A great example of this is the sense of belonging created when SEHS staff and faculty, eager to get to know their students, began hosting virtual game nights. These opportunities created a network within our school and allowed our students to enjoy time outside of the classroom with their professors. When we build a culture of support, we are letting students know they are valued members of our community.

While the pandemic created an unprecedented sense of loss, I can assure you that SEHS graduates leave UM-Flint ready to utilize their knowledge to make the world a safer, happier, more peaceful place. Thank you so much for supporting the university, our school, and, most importantly, our students. Please consider making a gift to SEHS today.

Sincerely,
