Interim Dean, School of Management
University of Michigan-Flint

On behalf of the School of Management (SOM), I extend my sincerest gratitude for your commitment to our campus. While the last year brought hardship, it also showed us the resilience and strength of the University of Michigan-Flint community. Your past financial gifts inspired us to think boldly and implement the creative solutions necessary to better meet the needs of our students. I am reaching out to you with the hope that you will continue your support by making a gift today.

The traditional college classroom is being transformed, and SOM faculty are motivated to continue discovering new teaching methods to ensure student success. The school’s new Hyperflex Classroom is one such example. This self-paced, student-centered class delivery model allows students to take a course in person, online synchronously, or online asynchronously—so that students are not forced into a course modality their location or work schedule may not allow. It was support from our donors that allowed us to provide laptops and internet access to SOM students when the campus was shuttered in March 2020.

Encouraging and supporting our students to apply their newfound knowledge into practice continues to be an utmost priority for SOM. Through our career development requirement, students are provided with opportunities to network with professionals in the field, secure internships, attend workshops, and much more. The support you provide as a donor allows us to expand the types of opportunities we provide for our students and remain on the cutting edge of our field.

As we continue to find ways to help our students succeed, we look to you as our donors. Your contribution gives our students opportunities, and these opportunities will shape them just as someday they will shape our future. I invite you to make a gift to SOM today.

Sincerely,
