Pan-Asia Alumni Scholarship Fund

History

The U-M Pan-Asia Alumni Scholarship provides important financial aid in support of outstanding undergraduate students from across Asia attending U-M. Established by our Hong Kong alumni in 2014 to honor the Pan-Asia Alumni Reunion, the Pan-Asia Alumni Scholarship unites the U-M family around Asia, deepens connections to U-M, and builds esprit de corps. Each year alumni and friends in Asia and around the globe contribute to the U-M Pan-Asia Alumni Scholarship in celebration of each other and future generations of students. To date, over $250,000 has been raised from more than 500 gifts and pledges.

Purpose

The scholarship will support undergraduate students in their pursuit of higher education. The intent of this scholarship is to encourage outstanding students from the Pan-Asia region to attend the University of Michigan.

These students and scholars will add to the already robust global community of teaching and learning, all while pursuing extraordinary education. Moreover, their successes on campus and as alumni will enhance U-M’s reputation as they become thought leaders, in their respective regions and globally.

Fund Type – Endowed

The scholarship will be endowed with support from alumni and friends wishing to support undergraduate students hailing from the Pan-Asia region.

In accordance to University procedure, donors will be recognized by suitable means, and will be periodically notified of fund recipients and impact.
