Ross China MBA Opportunity Fund

History

The China MBA Scholarship provides important financial aid in support of outstanding graduate students in the MBA program within the Ross School of Business. This endowed fund was established by Edwin Wong in July 2020.

Purpose

The scholarship will support graduate students in their pursuit of an MBA. The intent of this scholarship is to encourage outstanding students seeking an MBA to attend the University of Michigan.

These students and scholars will add to the already robust global community of teaching and learning, all while pursuing extraordinary education. Moreover, their successes on campus and as alumni will enhance U-M’s reputation as they become thought leaders, in their respective regions and globally.

Criteria

The scholarship will be awarded, based on merit, to graduate students in the Ross School of Business MBA program who are in good academic standing, with preference given to students who graduated from high schools or undergraduate programs in Hong Kong or mainland China.

Fund Type – Endowed

The scholarship will be endowed with support from alumni and friends wishing to support graduate students in the Ross School of Business MBA program from Hong Kong and mainland China.

Recognition

In accordance to University procedure, donors will be recognized by suitable means, and will be periodically notified of fund recipients and impact.
