2023 Lunar New Year Contest Entries

Each year, students from Stamps School of Art & Design share their creativity and talents for a chance to be featured in the annual Lunar New Year card. For this upcoming year, the Year of the Rabbit, we received some stunning submissions that we are excited to share. Click through to view them all.

This is the winning entry for the 2023 Lunar New Year Art Contest! Artist Statement: With the turn to the 2023 year, a rabbit treads water holding onto a paper lantern bringing the new year. A trail of lanterns follows behind it in the sky, symbolizing the coming new year, while the reflection of the rabbit and lanterns above is reflected in the water below. There is also a slight ripple in the water, representative of 2023 being the year of the water rabbit. — Kaitlyn Onela, B.F.A.
