As the holidays draw near and the season of gratitude and gift giving begins, many of us take time to reflect on what has made the past year so special. We’d like to share with you some sentiments from our amazing donors about what has inspired them to give to Michigan.
“In lieu of wedding favors, my husband and I chose to make a donation to the Michigan Marching Band, where we met and fell in love. It is our hope that through our contribution, other people can have meaningful, fun, and wonderful experiences like we had.”–Erika G.
“In loving memory of my father, Mohamad K. S. The University of Michigan made such a positive impact on our family during my father’s diagnosis, treatment, and recovery from leukemia. They gave him a second chance at life and gave our family the gift of time with our beloved father. They made my late father and mother feel like they were family. I will continue to support the University of Michigan and their fight against cancer.”–Jamal S.
“I chose to make a gift today because of my love for the university and helping out financially challenged students, since I was one, once upon a time.” –Simeon B.
“I struggled during my time at Michigan, and it was the resources provided by the university that helped me through some tough times. I’m so happy to see that Dean Curzan and LSA are committed to student well-being and mental health!” –Michael R.
“The Rackham Graduate School provided generous and reliable financial support for my graduate education while I earned my degree in the joint social work and anthropology program. I will always remain grateful for that financial support.”–Letha C
